Manouri is a traditional Greek Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) cheese with its origins dating back to ancient times. It belongs to the category of soft whey cheeses and is made in Central and Western Macedonia and Thessaly.
It stands out because of its enticing aromas and its pleasant and rich taste that straddles the border between sweet and salty.
Manouri is excellent as a table cheese. It can be grilled as an appetizer with a little balsamic vinegar or balsamic cream, accompany your green salads or use it to make vegetarian souvlaki or burger.
It can be added to pies and sweets, and you can use it to prepare a quick and healthy dessert with honey or dried fruit.
You can accompany it with white and dry wines with subtle aromas!
Store in the refrigerator between 2°C and 6°C.
After opening, consume within 3 days.
