Mountain tea or sideritis is probably the most popular infusion in Greece. It is known from ancient Greece. Hippocrates considered mountain tea a tonic, while later Dioscorides said that it is the plant that heals wounds from iron objects and helps with colds.

Mountain tea has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties because it contains many flavonoids. At the same time, it facilitates digestion, is tonic and helps with anemia thanks to the iron content it contains. Finally, it is indicated for the fight against colds, nasal congestion and coughs.

For the infusion : Add few leaves in boiling water (60-80°C), leave 5-7 min., drain and enjoy a relaxing infusion.
