The traditional petimezi or hepsema as it is called in Cyprus, is prepared with the traditional method. The grapes are collected from the field and in 24 hours they are boiled in an open cauldron. Petimezi is used as a sugar substitute in various types of food such as pastries and sweets, in dishes with meat, fish, vegetables and to make dressings.
You can add organic petimezi to your milk, tea, coffee or juices, yogurt, ice cream, cereals, crepes and waffles but also to your culinary and sweet creations.
