Dervenochoria flower honey is a marvel of Greek nature, carefully harvested by the Mouriki family, passionate beekeepers.
Sourced from the wild blossoms of the Dervenochoria mountains, northwest of Athens, this honey captivates with its golden hue, velvety texture, and delicate floral aromas, balanced by a subtle, natural sweetness. Rich in enzymes, antioxidants, and minerals, it is also prized for its invigorating properties.
This flower honey is ideal for naturally sweetening Greek herbal teas, artisanal yogurts, or fresh cheeses. It also elegantly complements both sweet and savory dishes, from fruit salads to honey vinaigrettes.
An authentic product, emblematic of the richness of the Greek terroir and the Mouriki family's expertise.

Harvested in the unspoiled region of Dervenochoria, near Mount Parnes in central Greece, Mouriki Family's wildflower honey is a blend of Mediterranean nature and beekeeping tradition. The Mouriki family, committed to environmentally friendly beekeeping for generations, produces this honey using traditional methods, guaranteeing its purity and authenticity.
This wildflower honey is distinguished by its beautiful amber color, smooth texture, and subtle aromatic profile, where floral, herbaceous, and slightly fruity notes mingle. Made from the nectar of endemic wildflowers (thyme, pine, sage, fir, oak, etc.), it reflects the botanical diversity of the Greek hills.
On the palate, it offers a balanced sweetness, without being overly sugary, and a refined aromatic finish. It's an ideal companion for indulgent breakfasts, paired with Greek yogurt, paximadia, or artisanal bread. It also enhances savory dishes (roasted vegetables, soft cheeses) or can serve as the base for a vinaigrette or marinade with Mediterranean flair.
At Poupadou, we are committed to showcasing exceptional Greek products from dedicated small producers. Dervenochoria flower honey embodies this vision: a natural, noble honey deeply rooted in its terroir.
Store in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture.
This honey usually crystallises but it does not alter its taste qualities. To decrystallize it simply place the jar in hot water until the honey becomes smooth again.
