Samos Vin Doux P.D.O.
Samos wine, made from semi-mountainous and mountainous terraces, is the most popular Greek sweet wine. Light golden colour and nose dominated by aromas of apricot jam and ripe melon. In its particularly fruity flavour, we discern notes of summer fruits.
It is the ideal accompaniment to light desserts such as fruit tart (apple, lemon) and creamy desserts. It can be served as an aperitif or with fruits, cheeses and dried fruits.
It can be used in baking to create tasty syrups or as an aromatic complement by binding sweet and sour sauces or accompanying poultry, Asian or Italian recipes with its discreet sweetness.
It makes an ideal end to a meal and it can be used as an exceptional base ingredient for the creation of an endless series of exquisite cocktails.
