Tsantali Rapsani is produced from three indigenous varieties Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto, grown on the slopes of Mount Olympus. The wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barrels and then aged for at least 6 months in bottle.
The Mavroudi wine of the Tsantali winery is a single varietal dry red wine that is among the oldest Greek varieties. Its name highlights the almost black colour of their grapes.
It has a deep ruby colour that combines aromas of red and black fruits such as cassis, blackberry and blueberry. In the mouth exuberant with soft tannins, with the fruity aromas of the nose combining with subtle notes of sweet spices (licorice, cinnamon, vanilla) from the barrel.
Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels and then aged for at least 4 months in bottle.
It goes perfectly with your red meat dishes, sausages, charcuterie and hard cheeses.
Bottling in single varietal wine remains rare.

The Tsantali family is one of the oldest winemaking families in Greece. It was in 1890 in Northeastern Greece where the Tsantali family began to cultivate vineyards, produce wine and distill ouzo and tsipouro.
