Hilopites me kima

  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 500 g hilopites
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 finely chopped carrots
  • 1 finely chopped celery
  • ½ cup red wine (optional)
  • 1 can of tomato juice
  • salt
  • pepper
  • grated cheese


  • 1 cooking pot
  • 1 frying pan



Sauté the onion, carrot and celery with olive oil.


When cooked, add the minced meat and cook for 15 minutes. Stir frequently.


Add tomato juice, red wine and season with salt and pepper. Cover, cook on low heat for 1 hour or until the meat is cooked. If necessary, add water.


In parallel, cook and drain the hilopites.


Pour this sauce over the hot pasta and serve with grated cheese.
