Ground Mahleb 10g
Mahleb is a spice obtained from the core of the black St Lucie cherry and is essential in greek pastry.
It is used in particular for the preparation of tsoureki, a brioche with an exceptional taste, consumed all year round but especially during Christmas and the Easter holidays.
Mahleb is also used for the preparation of other festive cakes like vassilopita for New Year for example or flaounes in Cyprus for Easter. It can be used in creams, pies or also in dishes with carrots or pumpkin.
