The sweet smell of anise and herbs gives Barbayannis Blue Label classic Greek ouzo a pleasant scent, pure and transparent colour and delicate flavour, creating on your palate sensations of spring breeze and sunny sea.
Over the past five generations, Barbayannis Ouzo distillers in Plomari, Lesbos, Greece have lovingly produced the classic BLUE Ouzo liqueur, using the traditional method, following the family recipe brought by Efstathios Barbayannis from Russia in 1860.
This greek spirit is composed of a pure essence of anise and fragrant herbs, with an alcohol content of 46° and contains the distinctive water of Plomari Lesbos.
Ouzo is the best accompaniment to your aperitif, your mezes and your fish dishes (octopus, shrimp pasta, kritharoto).
Alcohol abuse is dangerous for health. To consume with moderation.
But how to drink this spirit?
In a tall, narrow glass, pour 4cl of ouzo. If you wish, you can also pour in water. Finally add the ice cubes, which will gradually reduce the temperature of the liquid while allowing the aromas to be fully released!
