Ouzo by Metaxa is distilled in the traditional way in small copper stills according to an age-old recipe.
Spices such as anise, mastic from the island of Chios and star anise are combined in a unique blend that gives this pastis-like spirit its rich aroma and full, balanced taste.
Served with ice cubes and/or water, this crystalline and transparent liquid becomes milky white, a magical transformation typical of this aperitif.
Ouzo is the best accompaniment to your aperitif, your mezes and your fish dishes (octopus, shrimp pasta, kritharoto).
Alcohol abuse is dangerous for health. To consume with moderation.
But how to drink this spirit?
In a tall, narrow glass, pour 4cl of ouzo. If you wish, you can also pour in water. Finally add the ice cubes, which will gradually reduce the temperature of the liquid while allowing the aromas to be fully released!
