Ouzo is the ultimate traditional Greek aperitif with international recognition.
The Tsantali family started distilling it as early as 1890 and this authentic recipe has been passed down from generation to generation until today. Ouzo is strong in the mouth, but offers at the same time a soft sensation and the characteristic "burning" due to the alcohol content. Although initially the anise seems to be the protagonist aromatically and flavorfully at the beginning, the presence of the other aromatic plants and seeds such as coriander, cardamom, and linden, lends complexity and finesse, creating a wonderful harmony that also helps the combination with the food .
Ouzo is the best accompaniment to your aperitif and to your appetizers and fish dishes (octopus with vinegar, shrimp pasta, kritharoto, fava, saganaki, with olives and breadsticks).
Alcohol abuse is dangerous for health. To consume with moderation.
