    Feta is the most famous traditional Greek cheese, while it is an important part of the Greek diet and is related to their history and traditions.

    It is a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) cheese with a slightly salty and slightly acidic taste and a natural white colour.

    In Greek cuisine, feta is very present in salads such as greek salad or Cretan dakos salad, as an accompaniment to dishes like briam or yemista, in pitas like tyropita or spanakopita or in starters like baked feta and saganaki garides (shrimps saganaki) ! You can also eat it with olive oil and oregano and Kalamata olives for an aperitif or in honey and sesame fyllo dough!
